Cody Rhodes recently parted ways with WWE and shortly after he left the company he issued a statement saying that he was going to continue wrestling, and a few days ago Cody posted a checklist that featured various things he wants to do in his post-WWE career. Cody listed wrestlers that he wanted to face and other things he wants to experience such as, “the streamers thing.” Later this summer Cody will be checking one of those names off the list.

As you can see, one of the things Cody wants to do is wrestle Kurt Angle, and Cody is going to be getting exactly what he wants later this summer. Cody Rhodes vs. Kurt Angle has been confirmed for NEW’s Wrestling Under The Stars event in Wappingers Falls, NY on August 27th.

It doesn’t look like Cody Rhodes will be waiting very long to get back in the ring. A match with Kurt Angle is one heck of a way for Cody to kick off his post-WWE career and it should be interesting to see what other names he checks off his list.
