Daniel Bryan gave an emotional speech last night as he said farewell to the WWE fans. It was a heartbreaking moment and everyone in the Seattle, WA crowd treated Bryan with the respect he deserved. Well, almost everyone.

Reddit user DuragVince shared a story about a fan who got kicked out of the show during Daniel Bryan’s speech. According to the story, the fan was trying to start a “na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye” sing a long while Daniel Bryan was talking about gratitude. But security shut him down hard.

The story goes like this:

“So some guy ended up getting thrown out (and roughed up) by security for trying to start a chant by singing that “na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye” song while Daniel was talking. It was during the moment the whole place went silent while he was going over his gratitude; the guy started screaming the tune at the top of his lungs. Three security guys rushed him and just pulled him out of our row and he was out of there quick. You can tell by the look on his face that he didn’t even know what was happening.”

Yeah, that was definitely the wrong chant at the wrong time so it’s no surprise that he didn’t get very far with it. With the exception of that little mishap, Bryan’s retirement speech seemed to go off without a hitch. But there’s a lesson to be learned here, and that lesson is, don’t be a dick.

  1. Yea the guy was a dick, however people come to the show to yell and scream. If I was roughed up by WWE security, there would be a massive law suit, as you are only pulled out of a show if you are screaming obscenities and making rude gestures. They can come tell you to be quiet, but to forcibly remove someone because they are starting a chant, is too much and they would owe me a ton of money.

  2. I miss the old days where wrestlers would have dragged a piece of human scum like this into the parking lot and beat him into disability. This is the fetid, disgusting trash that goes to wrestling events now.

  3. So? He paid to be there. If he wants to be a dick, let him. That’s his right. Freedom of speech my ass.

    • You don’t act like a dick when someone is giving a retirement speech. I’m glad he got kicked out of the building.

    • To be honest, the people in front of him were probably getting their ears blown out. On top of that, they paid as well and would like to hear what Bryan was saying so yeah.

  4. I understand the freedom of speech, but that was disrespectful. That is not the chant to use when someone’s retiring.

  5. What a dick ypu don’t do that during a retirement speech it’s so very disrespectful I am glad the security guards got him before everyone chimed in
