It’s no big secret that Brie Bella has been planning to retire from WWE this year. Back in February, Brie told Good Morning America that she planned to retire from the ring this summer. But it looks like an announcement regarding her retirement may be coming much sooner than expected.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Brie Bella will be retiring following the Raw after WrestleMania 32. It was noted that Daniel Bryan is dealing with some sort of health issue and that’s what motivated her to retire early. It’s unclear right now what sort of issue he may be dealing with, but it caused Bryan to pull out of his upcoming WWE appearances. It’s said that there’s no bad blood between Bryan and WWE in regards to the canceled appearances.

Brie Bella won’t be completely absent from WWE programming going forward. She’ll still be a regular cast member of “Total Divas” and she’ll also likely be making appearances on WWE Network shows in the future.

Brie is set to work a multi-Diva tag team match at WrestleMania 32 this year. She will be teaming with Alicia Fox, Natalya, Paige and a partner TBA to take on the team of Lana, Tamina, Naomi, Summer Rae and Emma. It looks like her match at WrestleMania could be her final match in a WWE ring.

If Brie really does retire in a few weeks, this will be the second year in a row that a WWE Diva has retired following WrestleMania. Last year at WrestleMania 31, Team Bella lost a tag team match when they faced off against AJ Lee and Paige. That was AJ Lee’s last match and she ended up retiring shortly after the event.
